Second Sight: A Brady Coyne and J.W. Jackson Mystery by Philip R. Craig and William G. Tapply. This is the second Brady Coyne and J.W. Jackson book done by the Craig and Tapply. I did not read the first, First Light, but after reading Second Sight, I probably will.
Set on Martha's Vineyard, Second Sight is the combination of two detectives, Brady Coyne and J.W. Jackson. While neither are actual detectives, they both are skilled in the art of solving crimes. This novel follows these friends through there steps to solve multiple murders and perhaps a terrorist plot.
The book is written in an alternating chapter format. Each chapter follows one of the main characters. This was hard to follow, at times. But once I got used to the style, it was not that bad.
There was also a point were Brady goes to visit a Psychic, this almost lost me. I am not a big fan of the supernatural or supernatural scifi type books. If you fall into this category, do not worry. Second Sight, even with the title and psychic, is not a science fiction book.
In the end, I really did enjoy this book. I am looking forward to getting First Light and reading it as well.

Exit Music by Ian Rankin
I recently finished reading Exit Music by Ian Rankin.
This is a Inspector John Rebus novel. John Rebus is a rebel police officer with the Edinburgh department. Exit Music is John Rebus' fair well. He has ten days left until retirement and two murders to solve and he will do it in his own way. Like the others in the series, Exit Music is riddled with Scottish geography, a bit of history and politics, but not so much so that it interferes with the story line.
I have read a couple of the books in the John Rebus series and I have liked them all and Exit Music is no different. I highly recommend reading Exit Music, along with the others in Rebus series.

This blog will be dedicated to holding my thoughts on the different books I am reading. It will be primarily fiction books, but I will add in the occasionally computer or financial book.
For longer books, or even text books, I may make several posts with my reading notes.
